1. Purpose and Audience
The VCL2FMXConverter exists to automate the majority of the engineering work involved in moving a Delphi application from standard VCL to FMX. It is intended to reduce repetitive migration labor, surface the most important conversion risks early, and leave the user with an FMX project that can be compiled, tested, and polished in Delphi.
This manual is written for people who will actually operate the converter. That includes developers converting their own applications, technical staff helping with migration efforts, project owners supervising conversion work, and maintainers who need to understand how to rerun the tool safely and interpret its output.
- Use this guide when you need to run the converter, interpret its output, and validate the converted FMX project.
- Use the engineering guide when you need to understand the converter internals
- Use both guides together when a conversion is being actively refined and stabilized.
